My name is Tammam Al-Ahmad.
I live in France. I am very passionate about history and unique old stories. I like to call cities by their historical names for the very reason. To the best of my belief, the past is better than today. The great opportunities you took yesterday will not be found again tomorrow.​

Since my early childhood, I have loved my grandfather’s old belongings and listening to his old stories. I used to visualize these stories as movie scenes. My favorite game was to place myself in the story characters’ positions and try to experience the life they live in.

​I have always given so much importance to my grandfather’s dusty old leather wallet and his old cracked leather water bottle, among all other things. I used to imagine the wallet whispering the old stories into my ear that my grandfather had forgotten to tell me. I always desired to own that wallet, but he never allowed me while he was alive. Sadly, he bequeathed it to me before he closed his eyes to the world. I held the wallet with my tiny fingers and smelled the history.

I ran my fingers on the stitches and the tangled strings that reflected my grandfather’s dazzling memories and stories. That unique wallet is still with me after all these years. I also desire to leave a wallet to my grandchildren so they can have the same experience and remember me always.

I searched for a talented craftsman to produce a tailor-made wallet for life but I could not find the best fit. It was the moment I decided to design them on my own, rather than making do with the wallets created by others. I believe that there are many people who share the same desire as me so I created PAX Leather Goods in 2018.

In record time, I have learned how to make handcrafted leather goods by observing the talented craftsmen and examining their products. I decided to customize my goods more in a way that would be more personal than the usual by writing date, name, or even a short message for the people who want to distinguish the leather product that they want to own or gift to someone very special.​

My designs are simple, clean, rugged, yet neat. I take my inspiration from nature and history. Some PAX designs are specified to look old and unique as I use an exclusive leather called CRAZY Leather. One advantage of this leather is to be super sensitive to any external condition; for example, any little scratch will stay forever. This characteristic of the leather keeps all the external effects that the product is exposed to, too appears, older day after day.
